Fashion Moment: Fendi’s Voluminous Fall 2015 Puffas
Every since I moved to Toronto, I’ve been eyeing puffer jackets. (Yes, it’s still stupid cold.) And every time I see a particularly innovative one, I kind of turn into a stalker-y weirdo while I try to identify the brand labels. When I lived in Vancouver, I didn’t really require one, thus I let some good ones go. There was a Junya Watanabe balloon puffer from a few years ago that I put back on the rack (during sale season — sigh!) and there was that amazing duvet number from Maison Martin Margiela x H&M collection.
Leave it to Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Venturini Fendi to completely reinvent the puffer this year, with extreme volumes, giant fur (and Fendi has the best fur!) collars, and those earthy geometric prints by early 20th century Swiss artist Sophie Taeuber-Arp.
Now, which brand will be inspired to make a more wallet-friendly version of these Fendi puffas? You’ll have my undying love.
