Why You’ll Need a Fur Stole Come Fall 2015
Perhaps polar vortex of the last two winters played muse on the runway this season, because fluffy fur was everywhere. And while a full on fur coat can sometimes be overwhelming (and expensive!), I love the idea of a fur stole or a full fur stole wardrobe. It elevates any coat from basic to glamorous, not to mention provides toasty warmth.
Prabal Gurung’s black and white number is a thing of beauty and Marc Jacobs’s little skunk stripe collar is genius. Of course, I love Ohne Titel’s bright blue stripe-y stole as it reminds me of my white and yellow faux fur one from Prada.
I look forward to seeing fast fashion’s take on the garment. But quality and budget-wise, vintage is the way to go.
