We’re about to be bombarded with fashion month street style, and the person I’m most looking forward to is British Vogue‘s fashion features director, Sarah Harris. Here is a woman that admittedly doesn’t consider herself a fashion risk taker (although the fact that she’s embraced her grey hair in her early 30s certainly makes her a beauty one).

She’s developed a fashion uniform, similar to Jenna Lyons’s, although a tad more monochromatic. “Blue is as colourful as I get,” Harris admits in British Vogue‘s “Style At Any Age” video series. The statuesque editor sticks to a no-frills trouser-and-a-shirt wardrobe she considers a “timeless, ageless approach to dressing.”

Something about her reminds me of the late Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, someone I consider as one of the greatest icons of “effortless” (as we like to call it) style. In the sea of peacocks, Sarah Harris stands out as an elegant swan. (And, I’m now even more convinced that I need to invest in an Acne leather jacket.)
“My style is quite simple. I’d probably say that 95% of the time, I’m in jeans.” – Sarah Harris

P.S. On the other hand, in the same British Vogue video, Bay Garnett is adorable is a totally different way.
