Elizabeth Taylor in Cat On a Hot Tin Roof (1958)
She was a spectacular beauty matched only by her incredible sass and passion for life. My close friends know that I’m a proud owner of three books on Elizabeth Taylor’s life, My Love Affair With Jewelry being one of my all-time favourites.
I’ve always loved her. She was my grandmother’s favourite actress. I remember seeing Cat On a Hot Tin Roof for the first time and I was just in awe of her beauty. Her look in that film is pure perfection. That  gorgeous black hair, porcelain skin, sultry full lips, her thick brows and, of course, those unforgettable  perfectly lined violet eyes.
Benefit ‘Instant Brow’ pencil (at Sephora), Cargo ‘Cannes’ blush ($26 CAD at BeautyMark), Stila ‘Gilded’ shadow trio ($26 CAD at BeautyMark), Anna Sui Waterproof mascara ($25 CAD at Shoppers Drug Mart), Revlon Colourburst lipstick in ‘Coral’ ($9.95 CAD at Shoppers Drug Mart), Geisha Ink eyeliner ($30 at BeautyMark)
Having Paul Newman in the background just added to the overall gorgeousness. They don’t make them like this anymore. Sigh.
