While he may be known for his unique line of lucite jewelry, Alexis Bittar’s “Elements” line focuses on a juxtaposition of classic metalsmith work and semi-precious stones. The line is greatly inspired by the legendary painter Gustav Klimt. So often, designers claim to be inspired by something but the direct reference gets lost somewhere during the production process. However, when it comes to Alexis Bittar and Gustav Klimt, the reference is clearly well-communicated and the final product is incredible. From one of my favourite painters to one of my favourite designers: enjoy!
