Beauty Fridays: Shades of Gray
Agyness Deyn wearing Bloom’s ‘Agyness‘ nail polish
During the last few months, I’ve been searching for perfect deep gray nail polish. While I couldn’t get a hold of Bloom’s ‘Agyness‘ that inspired me in the first place, I found four must-have shades of gray.
Sephora by O.P.I’s ‘Metro Chic’ is dark and smoky with a hint of purple. I found that the most stunning result is achieved with three coats. Labour intensive (I’m pretty lazy) but beautiful colour.
SpaRitual’s ‘Mystic’ is really similar to Essie’s ‘Chinchilly‘ because it has a taupe undertone, but it’s a lot lighter in colour. I particularly love it because it is so smooth and creamy that it only requires one coat and dries in no time! It does chip easily so top coat is a must. It is 100% vegan, free of DBP, formaldehyde and toluene. My favourite.
And the grayest of them all is Rescue Beauty Lounge’s ‘Concrete Jungle’. It has a stunningly rich pure gray colour with just a perfect amount of shine. One coat is all you need. It is also 100% vegan, free of DBP, formaldehyde and toluene. Unfortunately, it’s pretty expensive, especially with shipping charges.
SpaRitual and Essie are available at BeautyMark in Vancouver and Essie online.
