It’s my 200th post and I thought I’d do a special post. I thought about writing about Karl, or Valentino, or Hermes (yet again), but nothing shakes my fashion groove like Lanvin.

As you already know, I adore Jeanne Lanvin. And you may also know that Alber Elbaz is my imaginary best friend. In my head, we are best friends spending time drawing, sipping wine, and shopping. I am his muse, of course, and he names dresses after me. La vie est belle.

There is no doubt in my mind that my darling Alber is the most talented designer working today, a fact that most critics would gladly back up. The current issue of Vanity Fair proclaims that his Spring 2010 collection “will probably be remembered as one of of those seminal moments that reset the fashion clock for the future”. And what a future it will be!

My ultimate fashion moment would be to inspire an Alber Elbaz illustration or a Miss Lanvin doll. So I dedicate my 200th post to Alber’s artwork.
