Red Jade made quite a debut at the BC Fashion Week last September, creating buzz and excitement around the Vancouver area. The buzz is well-deserved: beautifully made, wearable clothes that flatter the body oh-so-well. The garments moved with such ease on the runway that I thought most of the collection was made of silk, when in fact they are actually made of silk plus a wonderful mix of Eco-Luxurious fabrics like organic cotton, hemp, wools and linens. I loved the neutral colour palate with an occasional splash of golden yellow.

My favourite piece from the collection. I need these pants.

Margarita Angelatos, the designer behind Red Jade, spent years as a head designer for Canadian athleticwear company Lululemon. She had taken all the aspects of comfortwear associated with Lululemon and brought it into edgy rompers, flowy dresses, structured pencil skirts and jackets.
