Fall/Winter 2009 Lookbook

Agnès b. is another great French designer that is determined to ignore North America (sans New York). Luckily for me, she has an unbelievable number of stores (44!) in Hong Kong bearing her name, including flower shops, cafes, and restaurants (pretty good ones, too). You cannot walk a block in Hong Kong without spotting one of her designs on someone incredibly stylish.

Agnès b. started her career as a junior fashion editor at French Elle in the early 1970s and began designing at the same time. She opened her first shop on the Rue du Jour in Paris in 1975. Since then, the designer has been offering fashions that can be adapted to anyone’s personal style. Her signature pieces are timeless: crisp white shirts, blazers, cigarette trousers, and cashmere sweaters. Agnès shows her collections privately off-schedule at the Paris Fashion Week.
