This is a second Item of the Week (remember those bubble shorts?) featuring Catherine Malandrino. I love the vintage feel of this dress. The print reminds me of those gorgeous Russian scarves (my mom has a few and I’m going to raid her closet when I go home for Christmas). The colours scream fall. I want.

Malandrino tailoring is always superb. She knows how to cut and drape in a way that almost anyone can look great and feel great in her garments. And I love how every season she makes-up a little character that inspires her collection:

From Brooklyn to the East Village, it’s a girl that is on the go, she is playful, fun and daring. Her love for Chelsea galleries, cafés in the West Village are reflected in her personal style.

She enjoys expressing herself through clothes with effortless spontaneity but she is very selective and each piece needs to be worth it. Her femininity is always in contrast with a cultural mix and rebellion.
