Would You Wear Embellished Jeans?

It might be time to start rummaging through your parents’ basement in search of your old BeDazzler. Remember when rhinestone-ing the crap out of your jean jacket was the coolest thing to do? Well, your dreamy high school denim is back this season, as spotted on many runways, including that of a surprisingly homophobic brand we shall not mention. Silk embroidery, rhinestones, sequins, and (oh, my) pearls, these are some fancy jeans! Wallet-wise, too. I’m not sure if I’d invest in some of the $500-plus designer options above, but I can’t deny it’s a fun look to play with this summer. From high street, it seems like only Topshop has caught up to the runway, but how I wish these would pop up somewhere even more wallet-friendly. DIY, anyone?
