Beauty Fridays: ‘Tis the Season of Gift Giving!
Wondering what to give a beauty geek? Well, it’s super easy! This is the time when most cosmetics companies release limited edition palettes. Every year, I get the Shu Uemura designer series. Last year it was Tsumori Chisato; this year is artist Aya Takano. Cargo’s palettes are some of my favourites because they always have such fun and unexpected colour combos. If you really want to impress, I suggest the epic Stila colour wheel. Look at this thing! It has everything!
Korres makes my absolute favourite lip balm. I actually believe it has improved the look of my lips: they’ve become smoother and plumper. This kit is simply amazing: three lip butter and four glosses!
I’ve raved about myfaceworks before and now they have the “Starter Kit” with their most popular masks. A great way to relax and unwind at home.
Philosophy makes such fun seasonal items that it’s hard to choose just one. Last year, I featured most of them but this year my heart belongs to the “Gingerbread Girl.”
I love Principessa. This Vancouver company makes the loveliest sets! My favourite is the “Casa” collection featuring a hand cream, hand wash and dish soap (because most detergents are so bad for our delicate hands!)
Of course, nothing makes hands more beautiful than some glam polish. No need to look further than Deborah Lippmann’s festive “All that Jazz” trio.
Feet need love too and there is nothing worse than blistered party feet. These should be in every woman’s Christmas stocking just in time for the big New Year’s Eve bash. Because we need to dance all night, pain free!
