Shoe Wednesdays: Castañer “Katia” Clog Bootie

Here is yet another amazing shoe company hailing from Spain. What is up with Spain and shoes? No wonder I want to live there. Castañer shoes date back to 1776, and is one of Spain’s leading espadrille makers. Since starting up their current company in 1927, Castañer has collaborated with Hermès, Louis Vuitton and Christian Louboutin. Recently, they have branched out beyond the espadrille and their new endeavours are pretty terrific, especially these clog booties. It’s a great example of a clog that’s nicely reworked into a wearable fall boot, keeping its clog-ness but without being too clog-y (wow, I actually wrote a crazy sentence like this and I’m keeping it).
I know some of you won’t like, but I love.
$295 CAD at Gravity Pope.
