If you live in Vancouver, you may be familiar with Noir Lash Lounge. In just one short year Noir has secured its place as one of Vancouver’s premier go-to beauty spots by offering those that are…well, lash-challenged a semi-permanent alternative to falsies. I’ve even heard of a couple of celebrities checking out Noir while filming in Vancouver. Noir is the brainchild of Joyce Poon, a long time beauty enthusiast and brilliant business woman. This pint-sized entrepreneur is always meticulously put-together, so much so that I want to know what her secrets are (other than lashes, of course). I also managed to snag one of her engagement photos just to show you how flawless Joyce really is (and, may I add, her now-husband is quite a catch too).

BEAUTY ICON

Kate Beckinsale – she is so naturally flawless and pulled together.

SKIN CARE:
I have a “morning” cleanser (skoah Gel Kleanser), and I use Shiseido Men Cleansing Foam for night – it does a great job of lightly exfoliating and taking makeup off. It’s quite similar to their Deep Cleansing Foam which I used to use, but well… this was lying around! I also have different day and night creams, but both are Philosophy’s Hope in A Jar – one with SPF the other, without. For long days, I’ll add a primer (Smashbox Photofinish Foundation Primer Light) under my makeup.

SKIN 911
Everyone’s definition of an “emergency” is different. Let’s just say when it’s time for an “intervention” I get a facial to unclog the pores and get a “fresh start”. For a REAL skin emergency, I’m off to my dermatologist. Improper self-treatment may lead to permanent scarring, so I’d rather leave it to the professionals, either my esthetician or dermatologist.

Lash extensions – but it’s no secret. I really do wear less makeup with them on and some days, if I’m in a rush, I’ll do without makeup completely and know that I’ll still look presentable.
