In case you haven’t noticed, I blog about nail polish a lot! Often, I get just as excited about a new shade of nail polish as I do about a new pair of shoes. As some of you know, nail polishes are often seasonal and every year there are a couple of true standouts that become really crazy popular. Like, remember when Chanel’s “Jade” was selling on eBay for hundreds of dollars?

Well, Deborah Lippmann’s “Waking Up in Vegas” might just be “it” this year, thanks to Lady Gaga and September’s Vanity Fair. It’s a gorgeous opaque warm gray with taupe undertones.

Butter’s tribute to Alexander McQueen, “All Hail McQueen,” is a holographic taupe. Yes, holographic! It has little gold flecks that respond to changes in light. It’s out of this world, a true winner for the holiday season!

Of course Chanel had to come up with another amazing green for the fall season. I love the “Khaki Vert,” a perfect opaque olive green.

(*hint: Essie’s “Sew Psyched” is almost identical)

Fall is not fall without vampy shades. Essie’s “Little Brown Dress” is a perfect black coffee shade with just a hint of redish undertone.

Who said turquoise is just for summer? I love this deep cool blue turquoise. It’s like the colour of a still winter ocean.

These are my top 5 must-haves. Do you have yours yet?
