UNIQLO F/W 2009

UNIQLOCK has been ticking away on my blog since its launch back in July. Why? Because UNIQLO is the coolest casual wear designer and retailer in the world. Unfortunately, UNIQLO is not available in North America, other than from one store in lucky New York City. Vancouver will hopefully get its own store one day.

UNIQLO is famous for classic casual wear and is often referred to as the ‘Japanese Gap’. It is also famous for their very successful Designers Invitation Project, where they invite several designers to design capsule collections simultaneously. Some designers that have contributed their designs to Uniqlo so far are Phillip Lim, Lutz & Patmos, and Opening Ceremony. Additionally, UNIQLO has signed a design consulting contract with Jil Sander, whose 2nd UNIQLO collection launch I will miss by just three days. Sigh.

Hooded Cardigan, $39.50 US
